A comprehensive course designed to furnish credit professionals with  the necessary tools in order to undertake effective, conclusion-based credit analysis. Participants will develop their analytical skills  through the application of a logical structured framework. Starting with identification of the deal and credit structure, it logically works  through the analysis process from business risk to financial risk then to structural risk. In addition it will compare and contrast different industry dynamics. This course contains 42 lectures across 8 sections, introducing and then covering each concept in-depth and providing examples.

  • Understand the process of credit analysis including risk identification, analysis and mitigation

  • Implement a structure for business risk analysis from macro, industry, and company-specific levels of detail

Prerequisites

  • Knowledge of the English language.

Simon Green

Simon has an extensive background in corporate banking, with 15 years of experience holding senior positions at major financial institutions. His responsibilities spanned credit and risk analysis, credit policy formulation, business development, relationship management, and corporate recoveries. For the past 28 years, he has worked as a full-time professional training consultant, specializing in the corporate banking sector. His training covers the full spectrum of corporate banking activities, with a particular focus on corporate credit analysis and bank credit analysis. He has worked with a diverse range of clients, including universal banks, domestic banks, credit rating agencies, credit insurers, export finance companies, and bank regulatory authorities. His global experience includes delivering training programs across Europe, MENA, Australasia, and North and South America. In the academic sector, Simon has contributed to professional training programs, including the Chartered Institute of Bankers Professional Examinations, the Association of Corporate Treasurers, and various university programs such as the University of Wales MBA Programme and the University of Glamorgan MSc in International Banking and Finance. He has also served as an External Assessor for the Cardiff University MBA Programme. Since 2012, Simon has been a Trustee of Adferiad Recovery, the largest addiction and mental health charity in Wales, further demonstrating his commitment to social impact and community support.
